Shifting and shaping - leveraging design skills for planet-centric impact

As designers, we possess natural empathy. However, when it comes to helping the environment, we may be unsure of where to start. Nevertheless, our experiences of understanding people, thinking creatively, and iterating give us the tools to make a positive impact. In this workshop, we will explore how to apply our design skills to help solve environmental challenges in our local communities.

During the workshop, you will:
– Learn how to use our design skills to help solve local environmental challenges
– Walk through a framework for translating UX and design thinking skills into solutions for local environmental challenges
– Engage in activities that help identify problem areas you could assist with
– Identify areas of the community that you’re passionate about helping
– Try some of the activities to start you on a path of making an impact in you community
– Create a network of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their community.

This workshop provides you with the opportunity to leverage you design skills to make a positive impact on the environment. By applying design thinking and UX skills, you can help solve local environmental challenges, create a network of like-minded individuals, and make a difference in your community!
